# What are co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at IITM?

In IIT Madras, co-curricular activities and cultural activities have a clear distinction in regards to its supervision. As completely student-run organisations, these activities come under the supervision of specific student-body elected executive council members.

Organisations which come under the purview of **Co-Curricular Affairs Secretary** -

1. Shaastra
2. Centre for Innovation
3. Entrepreneurship Cell
4. Nirmaan
5. Institute Technical Society

(The Inter-IIT Tech Teams & Inter-Hostel TechSoc are also included.)

Organisations which come under the purview of **Cultural Affairs Secretary** -

1. Sangam
2. Saarang

(The Cultural Contingent & Inter-Hostel LitSoc are also included.)
