The JoSAA site mentions the student reporting date to IIT Madras as 25th and 26th July. I would like to know if this means we can report on either of these days or do we have to report on both these days.
Also, I would like to know if we will be allocated hostel on the same day.

You will soon receive a detailed schedule, where you can find the day and time slot for your department and program. So you would have to complete document verification and admission on either the 25th or 26th of July, and you will be allotted your hostel on that same day.
Orientation for all first-year undergraduate students is on 27th July and classes start on 1st August.
